Lloydminster based ASTEC SAFETY INC. receives Ground Disturbance 201 Training Endorsement

After more than a year of analysis, development and a rigourous three stage program review, ASTEC SAFETY Inc.’s Ground Disturbance 201 Classroom and On-line Training Programs have received the coveted Alberta Common Ground Alliance (ABCGA) endorsement to the “NEW” published Ground Disturbance 201 Standard.

Today, only two Professional Training companies have successfully attained the ABCGA Endorsement on the classroom program. “We are proud of the team of ASTEC SAFETY professionals who worked alongside many of our customers to assimilate the ground disturbance expertise and knowledge base to develop a classroom program that met the pre-requisites for ABCGA Endorsement. This is a major accomplishment for our company and our clients”; said Jeff Mulligan, Chief Operating Officer.

ASTEC SAFETY’s industry leading On-line Ground Disturbance 201 training course received ABCGA Endorsement, in November 2017, building on our successful Ground Disturbance on-line course launch that was the first ever program endorsed to the previous ABCGA Standard, in June 2015. The new program features interactive module reviews, engaging narration, and a practical exercise to certify the student’s comprehension of the course material. With random examination question capability, a virtual proctoring option, and the latest in security embraced in the new program, we are building on our solid track record in the emerging market of on-line Ground Disturbance training.

We are proud to partner with BIS Training Solutions and the SafetyNet group of safety professionals to develop and distribute the ASTEC SAFETY Ground Disturbance 201 (ABCGA Endorsed) On-line Training course. Similarly, we must thank the Alberta Common Ground Alliance for their leadership in the field of ‘Damage Prevention” to buried facilities in not just Alberta, but, all of Western Canada.
