Owner/Operator – Myterra Ventures Inc.
Ed acquired the ASTEC SAFETY-Provost Branch location on May 1, 2015, and operates a full service location as our first Licensee.
Previously the Manager, Training and Program Development for ASTEC SAFETY Inc., Ed brings solid experience and intimate knowledge of what makes ASTEC SAFETY unique in the industry. He has 8 years instructing at Lakeland College and Olds College in their agriculture and equine departments, and developed several semester courses while at Olds College. Starting with ASTEC in September of 2006 as an instructor, he later took on the role of revising and developing many of ASTEC’s safety courses.
Ed brings with him a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture from the University of Alberta, and is currently working on his Certificate in Adult and Continuing Education from University of Saskatchewan. In addition to Myterra Ventures Inc, Ed is an avid outdoorsman, operating a family ranch in the Provost area.
Roxy Ganser
Safety Consultant
Roxy started working with the Astec Safety-Provost team in May of 2016. She brings a strong knowledge of the oil and gas industry’s safety concerns and requirements garnered from years of co-owning and operating a coil tubing service company. Roxy is a certified National Construction Safety Officer (NCSO) and her main role with Astec Safety is to provide safety programming and consulting services and advice for our clients. She also conducts drug and alcohol testing and has had a significant administrative role in our day to day operations. She has a good understanding of agriculture safety as well, having been involved in a family farm raising bison. Roxy brings a bright smile, contagious laugh and caring personality to work every day. She enjoys the outdoors, values family time and is a great cheerleader for her children’s sports activities.
Ron Brookman
Service Supervisor
In 2005, Astec welcomed Ron onto their shop team as the shop supervisor, with over 20 years prior experience working with high pressure cylinders and regulators. He now looks after a wide variety of shop duties, and oversees the service shop at our Provost location and repairs monitors, air packs, extinguishers. He is certified to conduct fit testing and hydro testing of high pressure cylinders.
Carlene Green
Office Administrator
Completing her bookkeeping and medical administration diploma in 2015, Carlene brings a balance of academic and practical experience to her role as the Administrator at ASTEC SAFETY-Provost. Responsible for overseeing the training co-ordination duties and many of the accounting functions, Carlene is key to achieving both the target service levels and efficiencies required to best serve our customers. Carlene is certified to administer Drug and Alcohol testing in the Provost branch, as another value-add service we bring to the region.
In her time away from the office, Carlene spends most of her time with her two boys filling up the calendar.
