Chris RichardsChris Richards

Chris has a technical background servicing gas detection equipment, fire extinguishers, and breathing apparatus. He has spent time as a safety watch/bottle watch and field technician for air trailers and monitoring systems. Chris has now moved into a full time instructing role with our company, as of 2006. Chris also holds technician certificates from a number of manufacturers such as BW Technologies by Honeywell, Sperian respiratory equipment, Scott field level maintenance, etc. from his time spent as a technician. He is in the process of obtaining his CTP certification through the Canadian Society of Training and Development and has completed both in house and third party instructor training courses.

David Levitt

David Levitt

David has been with Astec since July 4, 2011. He has the exceptional ability to transform the average person into a well-trained instructor. He brings with him a background in public education, as well as hands on experience in the oil-field industry. David’s training includes a Masters in Education, specializing in curriculum development, teacher training and technology based instruction. David also helps expand Astec’s business by training outside companies how to teach our courses.

Jonathan SiebenJonathan Sieben

Jonathan is an instructor out of the Lloydminster location, teaching a variety of different courses for Astec. Starting with us in 2013, Jon has broadened his abilities to teach many courses and still continues to add to his certifications. Not only does Jon have oilfield experience to support the material in the courses he instructs, he also enjoys being a snowboard instructor as well as a personal trainer.

Don GormleyDon Gormley

With over 25 years in the oil and gas industry, Don is very important to the Astec team. Starting with us in 2006, he supplies valuable knowledge and hands on experience to not only the classroom, teaching almost every course we offer, but also to our staff members. Acting as a type of role model, Don brings the family feel of Astec to life. Before his time at Astec, Don worked as a mechanic.

Karli DonahueKarli Donahue
Contract Instructor

Teaching First Aid as her specialty, Karli acts as one of Astec’s contract instructors. However, Karli did not always hold this position. Starting with the company back in 2005, she originally took on the role of office administrator out of our Provost location for about 5 years. Shortly after, she decided to take a change of pace and become a St. John Ambulance instructor. Karli soon took on the full time role as a First Aid and CPR instructor for Astec. With the huge amount of knowledge and hands on experience, Karli is very valuable to the classroom setting.

Paulette SaintPaulette Saint
Contract Instructor

Paulette is one of Astec’s contract instructors for First Aid, as well as defensive driving for about three years now. Before joining Astec, she worked at the Bonnyville Health Center for 22 years. There, she experienced working as an LPN on all units and in the CSR department doing sterilization for the OR and the rest of the hospital. Paulette has a diploma in Nursing from the Red Deer Community College, and has furthered her training with Astec. On her down time, Paulette is proud to have a small family farm that keeps her busy when she is not instructing.

Colleen HallColleen Hall
Contract Instructor

Since 2002, Dr.Hall has been with the Astec team as our contract First Aid Instructor for the Lloydminster location. Colleen holds a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine and has owned a veterinary practice in Neilburg Saskatchewan and has worked as a vet in New Zealand. Colleen loves working with landscaping around her yard, and runs her own greenhouse now as well as helping her husband operate their local mixed farm.
